ASTANA MOTORS WILL PROVIDE FURNITURE FOR VICTIMS IN MAKTAARAL.

Astana Motors bought 426 new furniture sets worth 50.5 million tenge for residents of Orgebas and Firdousi villages in Maktaaral District of Turkestan Region. The first batch of bedroom sets has already been delivered to the newly settled families.

Let us remind, in May 2020 a dam failure at the Sardobinskoye water reservoir in the Republic of Uzbekistan left 895 families homeless. As reported by the press service of the akim of Turkestan Region, construction of houses and restoration of the infrastructure is currently underway in the settlements. In particular, 9 social facilities and 895 residential houses are under construction in the district, including 314 houses in Firdousi village and 195 houses in Orgebas village.

Our house was destroyed during the flood. The Government gave us money that we used to build a house. Now, Astana Motors has given us a bedroom set. My family and I are very happy. I am very grateful, may Allah be pleased with you, I wish you success in your business”, said Gulmeyram Abutayeva, a resident of Orgebas village.

We thank Astana Motors for bringing us the furniture sets, we see how glad are the people”, noted Bakhyt Assanov, the akim of Maktaaral District.

“We were deeply shaken by the news that thousands of people in Maktaaral District had lost their homes. Today the life in the villages is recovering thanks to the support of the Government and private Funds. Astana Motors, in its turn, has allocated 50.5 million tenge on manufacture of furniture for the newly settled families. Let it be the beginning of a new happy story for each family”, said Beknur Nesipbayev, General Director of Astana Motors.

Astana Motors, a subsidiary of Astana Group, regularly provides targeted social support and helps fellow citizens in emergency.

In 2019, the residents of the Arys city in Turkestan Region received 20 million tenge and humanitarian aid. The Medical Workers Support Fund established during the state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic provided hot meals for the personnel of City Clinical Hospital No.1, Emergency Hospital and Emergency Medical Station of Almaty. 1,300 medical workers were receiving meals every day. This may, the company allocated 51 million tenge to purchase multiFiltrate acute dialysis system for the capital’s phthisiopulmonology center. In addition, Astana Motors donated 41 million tenge to ZHANARTU charity fund to purchase lung ventilators for the Almaty hospitals.

The project of furniture provision to the residents of Maktaaral District has been implemented via Turkistan corporate fund of social development under SEC Turkestan JSC.
