NEW VEHICLES FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT OF ALMATY

The vehicle fleet of Madina LLP is enlarged with 13 new Golden Dragon buses which have been produced at the auto assembly plant of Astana Motors. The buses will soon start servicing route No. 25, which begins at the junction of Shevchenko-Seyfullin St. and ends in “Shanyrak-5” micro-district. The total length of the route is more than 23 km one way.

The buses were purchased under a financial leasing program for renewing the bus fleets. The operator of the program is DBK-Leasing JSC. This program was launched with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and allows the companies which owns the bus fleets to purchase vehicles on a financial lease for a period of 7 years with an interest rate of 7% per annum in tenge with down payment  of 15% of the contract value. Considering the fact that the critically worn-out vehicle fleets all over the country include more than six thousand vehicles with a service life of more than 12 years, the program will allow to improve the quality of public services in the passenger transportation network.

The new low-floor Golden Dragon buses are equipped with the ramps for transporting people with disabilities and children in strollers. The buses meet the requirements of the Euro-5 standard. The total passenger capacity is 80 people, and the length is 10.5 meters. Additional comfort and safety are provided by air conditioning and video surveillance systems as well as a video information system for passengers in the cabin. The purchased buses will be equipped with a passenger flow counter and fuel consumption meters. An electronic ticketing system will be introduced as well.

The model range of the Golden Dragon buses meets all the modern needs of the city, such as reliability, comfort, passenger safety, and operational efficiency. All the advantages combined together give one of the best indicators, i.e. a low price of a bus. Moreover, Astana Motors has launched a program of free test drives for all bus fleets in the country. The company has also developed several useful service options when the company’s specialists can come to a bus fleet’s location with all necessary spare parts and perform maintenance service at night or carry out repair works at a place where a bus breaks down to put it back into operation immediately. Another option is to train the bus fleets’ specialists so that they have got the right to service the Golden Dragon buses without affecting the terms of the current warranty.
