BMW Х5: The leader is back

Autocenter-Bavaria as part of Astana Motors presented a completely new BMW X5 vehicle in Kazakhstan.

In its fourth generation, the flagship of the BMW X Line retains its innovative superiority and remains an ideal embodiment of the philosophy of SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle), providing a real pleasure from driving on any road.

The BMW X5 vehicle has become even more versatile, comfortable, and dynamic thanks to the new engines and chassis systems. The vehicle has got a new eight-cylinder V8 engine in the BMW X5 xDrive50i version; for the first time for the BMW X model, it has got an air suspension of the front and rear axles (option), an integrated active steering, and special off-road equipment. The set of the electronic driver assistance systems has been expanded. The new BMW X5 has a brand new BMW Live Cockpit Professional system that adjusts the central display and a dashboard according to a driver’s individual needs even more precisely.

The new BMW X5 has become larger compared to the previous generation; the new dimensions enhance an impressive appearance and add interior space. The main element of the front part of the BMW X5 is a characteristic massive grille with a solid frame. The new BMW X5 is optionally equipped with the adaptive LED headlights with a distant light control system (BMW Laserlight), featuring a unique X-style design.

Carefully selected materials of the highest quality are used in the interior design, including a new Vernasca leather trim even in a standard version. A panoramic Sky Lounge glass roof, multifunctional seats, cooling and heating of cup holders as well as special lighting create unique cosiness and comfort in the cabin. Use of glass in some control elements supports the style.

The most advanced driver assistance systems are available in the new BMW X5. A new concept of data output and data control on the basis of the BMW 7.0 operating system, which is used for the first time in this generation of the BMW X5 vehicles, displays information in such a way that a driver remains fully focused on the road. Thanks to clear imaging and structuring of data as well as adjusted and personalized displays, BMW Live Cockpit Professional provides a driver with necessary information at the right time.

Maximum grip, maneuverability, and course-keeping ability of the new BMW X5 are ensured through an intelligent full drive system: BMW xDrive. The latest generation of this system lets distribute the torque between the front and rear axles even more efficiently in any driving situation. But the main innovation lies in the fact that for the first time the BMW X5 vehicle has an optional xOffroad package, which provides a possibility of choosing one of the four modes for driving along non-asphalt roads. Each mode changes the height of clearance, settings of transmission, and xDrive (four-wheel drive) as well as responses to an accelerator pedal, and sensitivity of the DSC stabilization system, enabling to adjust a vehicle for various rough surfaces such as sand, stones, gravel, or snow.

The new BMW X5 is available with four engine options: a V8 power unit or with one of three in-line six-cylinder engines. The top V8 gasoline engine, which is installed in xDrive50i, has 462 hp and a maximum torque of 650 Nm, providing acceleration up to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. BMW X5 in xDrive40i version is equipped with an in-line six-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 340 hp with a maximum torque of 450 Nm. Diesel versions are represented by two engines with a capacity of 400 hp/ 760 Nm in BMW X5 M50d and 249 hp/ 620 Nm in BMW X5 xDrive30d.

BMW X5 is available in such body colors as Arctic Grey, Mineral White, Terra Brown, Sophisto Gray, Phytonic Blue, and Black Sapphire, but the BMW Individual package offers a possibility of ordering unique colors.

The price range for the basic configuration of the new BMW X5 varies from 24,820,000 tenge for xDrive30d up to 32,385,000 tenge for xDrive50i.
